ALL ABOUT MAGGIE

Maggie Schneider grew up at the Jersey Shore and now calls New York City home. A lifelong theatre kid and storyteller, she recently earned her degree in Film & Television from Boston University with a concentration in screenwriting, focusing on writing and developing original sitcom pilots and spec scripts.

She additionally served as both the Membership Vice President and Vice President of Boston University On Broadway, BU’s student-run musical theatre organization. Throughout her time with OB, she took on a variety of creative and production roles, including director, choreographer, stage manager, and performer.

Maggie is especially drawn to comedy, musical theatre, and stories that make people laugh, think, and feel something. Inspired from a young age by Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett, she is passionate about women in comedy and creating spaces where women can challenge expectations and make people laugh. She has trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and currently takes improv classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade.

Her work has taken her from the Jersey Shore to London, including a semester abroad where she worked in film production at Flicker Productions. She has also stage-managed professionally at Algonquin Arts Theatre and performed and worked behind the scenes at Spring Lake Community House, teaching children's theatre.

Outside of creating, Maggie is a perpetual explorer who loves to travel, rewatch her favorite sitcoms (currently Shrinking), craft and sew, and spend time with her dog, Penny. She is a devoted Harry Potter fan, Muppets lover (especially Miss Piggy), and enthusiastic RuPaul's Drag Race quoter. Most importantly, she is happiest in a theatre, on a set, or surrounded by people who make her laugh.

She believes the best stories bring people together—and she hopes to spend her career creating exactly that.
